Brenda is a mother of two and a grandmother of four and comes out of a Southern Baptist background, though her teachings and the ministry of Dayspring are non-denominational and are to the body of Christ. In 2007 she published her first book, Song of Christ and has previously written a two volume Bible Study on the journey of discipleship calledThe Road to Emmaus.
She has been a Christian lay-counselor since 1987 and offices in Rockwall at the Dayspring office. She has taught and written Bible studies since 1976 and led conferences and retreats for 25 years, and was a speaker for Christian Women's Clubs throughout the Southwest for 20 years. She founded Dayspring in 1987 and remains its executive director.
In 1969 Brenda graduated from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas and is a member of Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall.
